e 5 maquinas clientes com ubuntu tambem

Qual a melhor opção para fazer o controle dos usuarios e senhas centralizado no servidor ?

Como fazer para que as maquinas estações clientes fação o login no servidor ?

Utilizando o Ubuntu 7.10 tinha um problema sério em acessar a placa wireless, mas utilizando os passos acima e com um driver contendo o arquivo net5211.inf consegui acessar as redes wireless utilizando o aplicativo kwifimanager.
